The
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Facilitation Cell of CII-APTDC has
launched two specialized service
packages PATENTSCANTM
and TECHNOSCANTM
.
This was formally launched by Shri.
N Chandrababu Naidu Hon'ble Chief
Minister of Andhra Pradesh at the
International Knowledge Millennium
Conference on 24th November 2002
at Hyderabad which was jointly organized
by Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII) and ICICI Knowledge Park.The
first copy of PATENTSCANTM
and TECHNOSCANTM
has been handed over to Prof. Ananda
Mohan Chakrabarty, the distinguished
professor of University of Illinois,
USA and the first person in the
world to be granted a patent for
a living organism.
These packages provide vital patented
and non-patented information across
the Globe, which would help Industries,
Research Institutions, Academic
Institutions, Universities, Consultants
and Legal firms in keeping themselves
updated with latest technological
advancements and in formulating
their technology cum IPR strategy.
The IPR Cell has already filed six
patent applications on behalf of
industries based in AP and conducted
an international conference on "Innovation
& IPR Strategy". The cell has
been helping industries in protecting
their IP apart from conducting awareness
and training program in the state.
