Jesús Arnoldo Bautista Corral

Dr. Jesús Arnoldo Bautista Corral was born in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua in 1953.

In the area of academic administration Dr. Bautista served as general coordinator of the New Casas Grandes Campus of the Ciudad Juárez Institute. Later he was deputy director and director of the National Center for Research and Technological Development (CENIDET). He also served as administrative coordinator of the Morelos Campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is currently Deputy Director of the Center for Mexican Studies, UNAM Tucson.

In the area of public administration, regional development and the energy sector, Dr. Bautista was head of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and later undersecretary of the Secretariat of Rural Development of the Government of the State of Chihuahua; in the National Solar Energy Association, A.C. (ANES) he served as treasurer and as executive director.

Como planning and administration consultant Dr. Bautista has been an advisor to Sandia National Laboratories, Winrock International, the National Solar Energy Association (ANES), as well as other academic entities, banks, agricultural industries, public service entities, hospitals and commercial companies.

In the academic environment he has been a professor in various management and engineering subjects at the professional and postgraduate levels at the Technological Institute of Cd. Juárez, New Mexico State University and at the National Center for Research and Technological Development.

In the industrial sector, Dr. Bautista has served as production supervisor, test engineer and production superintendent for R.C.A. Componentes S.A.

Dr. Bautista has belonged to several collegial associations, holding various positions, including: The Pan-American Academy of Engineering, The Academy of Engineering of Mexico (AIM-ProSecretary), The National Association of Universities and Institutes of Higher Education (CUPIA-board member), The Council of Directors of the National Technological Higher Education System (CDSNEST), The National Solar Energy Association (Treasurer, Executive Director), The Chihuahua-Texas Alliance (ACHT-President), The Inter-institutional Group of Chihuahua Renewable Energy Work (GITERCH-Secretary General), The Association of Professionals of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua (APNCGCH), The National College of Industrial Engineers (CONAII), Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIA), University Honor Society (Phi Kappa Phi), Industrial Engineering Honor Society (Alpha Pi Mu).

He has several national and international publications in the field of simulation and administration. He has participated in leadership positions in several academic organizations and committees for space projects.
