Biographical Data
He graduated from Civil Engineering and an academic from the UNAM Faculty of Engineering in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies with 29 years of experience. Senior Academician and President of the Specialty Committee on Environmental Engineering of the Academy of Engineering of Mexico. Full Member of the Pan-American Academy of Engineering. Deputy Secretary and Vice President Int UMAI.
His professional development is in planning, design, construction and operation & maintenance in Intelligent Buildings and Sustainable Buildings (LEED Certification, Commissioning & BIM Modeling), in the companies: CRYOINFRA — Grupo INFRA, TATSA, CIFRA — Wall*mart, Picciotto Architects, GEO EDIFICACIONES, DENGP — Grupo DENCO, ICA CC & ACTICA — Grupo ICA, Cordina — Grupo SACMAG and CYVSA. At CITY Coyoacán 5 of GAP Inmobiliaria, BIM Project Leader in vertical residential housing. He won 2nd place for the best FI-UNAM Thesis Director 2010, Miguel A. Urquijo Award for the best article in Civil Engineering 2000 CICM, 2nd and 3rd place in the National Prize for Electric Energy Savings 1996 and 1999, and 2nd place in the National Award for Intelligent Building 1994. Vice President in Civil Engineering 1995-2017 and Jury of the Mexican Association for Intelligent and Sustainable Building.
Member of the Environment and Sustainability Committee of the College of Civil Engineers of Mexico (CICM) and Advisor to the National Council of Environmental Industrialists (CONIECO). Member of the Advisory Group of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, Mexico-USA-Canada, on Sustainable Buildings. Jury of the SEEER Mexico Sustainable Building Award 2011. He regularly writes articles in engineering and construction journals, co-author of two books on Intelligent Buildings (IMEI), and gives regular lectures. I participate in the Working Groups of the Mexican Standards NMX-164 Sustainable Building, NMX-489 High Performance Data Center - Sustainable and Energy (CDAD), NMX-506 Commissioning/Commissioning-Cx and NMX-527/1 Information Models for Construction (BIM).
