Biographical Data

Industrial Electrical Engineer, Regional Technological Institute of Veracruz 1974

Distinguished Engineer of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) with more than 40 years of work experience.

In 2003, he was awarded the “Adolfo López Mateos” Medal by the CFE.

In 2005, he won the CFE Innovation Award on “Restoration of Emergency Structures”

For more than 25 years, he was a member of the National Committee and the Regional Reliability Committees of the National Electric System of the CFE.

For more than 20 years, he coordinated at the national level the restoration of damage caused by natural phenomena to the electrical infrastructure of the CFE, in more than 50 relevant events, such as Hurricanes, Tornados and Earthquakes.

He was President of the IEEE Mexico Section 2012-2014.

He has presented several Technical Articles and Master Lectures within the IEEE Mexico Section.

He has written and presented several technical articles at conferences of: DOBLE Boston and DOBLE Latin American, as well as the statistical technical journals of Circuit Breakers, Power Transformers and Instrument Failures.

He is currently President of the Power Chapter and of the Substations Committee of the IEEE Mexico Section.
