Luis Vaca Arenaza

He is Director of Vaca Arenaza S.R.L., an engineering consulting firm, and Director for Argentina of Ecology and Environment. He represents Alcatel Lucent in the Link Project for the transmission of data between Argentina and Uruguay.

He is Director for Argentina of Alcatel Submarine Networks, responsible for the implementation of different fiber optic cable installation projects.

As an independent consultant, he carried out countless audits in areas of hydrocarbon exploitation in Latin America; I carry out different analyses of investment evaluations in the exploitation of natural resources for local and international business groups. At Petrleos Sud Americanos, he was responsible for oil and gas operations in Latin America, and General Manager of oil projects in Ecuador and Argentina. At Petroleum & Environment Consultants S.A., he was Executive Director, with responsibility for the management of different energy projects and for the development of related studies and projects.

At the University of Belgrano, he was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Full Professor in the chairs: Professional Qualification II and Final Career Work. He taught master's degrees in the area of his knowledge, participated in Technical Competition Juries and in Engineering Teaching Commissions in national and international institutions.

He acts in the Federal Council of Deans of Engineering of the Argentine Republic -CONFEDI-; in the Argentine Energy Institute “General Mosconi”; in the Argentine Center of Engineers; in the Argentine Union of Engineers. He has been President of the Engineering Training for Sustainable Development chapter of the 2010 World Engineering Congress.
