Biographical Data

He studied his vocation at the former Polytechnic Institute of Hidalgo, in the City of Pachuca. This technical baccalaureate had only the specialty of electromechanics, which is why practically all of its graduates continued their studies at the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME) of the National Polytechnic Institute.

After completing his degree studies, in Electrical Engineering (1966), González Apaolaza obtained a grant from the Federal Electricity Commission (C.F.E.) to study a master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, specializing in hydroelectric plants, at the Higher School of Engineering and Architecture of the I.P.N.

President of XXIV (1992-1994) of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (CIME).

President (1995-1996) of the Federation of Colleges of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (FECIME).

It should be noted that, in 1993, Engineer González Apaolaza organized the first International Congress on Mechatronics, which led to the creation of national degrees and postgraduate degrees in this branch of engineering. Under the direction of Engineer González Apaolaza, the National Center for Teaching Update in Mechatronics was built.

During his tenure as President of the Mexican Union of Engineering Associations, Mr. González Apaolaza organized the XXIX UPADI Pan-American Engineering Convention in 2004. The representatives of the 27 countries attending the convention did not hesitate to express that it was the best event ever organized of the 29 held.

Ing. González Apaolaza was awarded the National Award for Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering and Related Branches 2009, which was awarded as part of the commemorative framework of the National Engineer's Day 2010, by Engineer Alfredo Elías Ayub, Director of C.F.E., representative of the President of the Republic, at that great event National Award for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 2010 of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (CIME).

Graduated from the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME) of the National Polytechnic Institute, with a degree in Electrical Engineering
