Academia Panamericana de Ingeniería and Academia de Ingeniería de México agree on collaboration agreement

The Pan-American Academy of Engineering (API) signed an important collaboration agreement with the Academy of Engineering of Mexico (AIM) with the objective of strengthening engineering development in the hemisphere.
Among the actions contemplated in this agreement are the exchange of experiences and knowledge; reciprocal access to information and resources; joint representation in international forums; participation in technical and political committees; the strengthening of professional representation and qualifications; and the promotion of teaching and continuing education in the field of engineering.
This agreement, which ratifies the commitment shared by both academies to “promote excellence in engineering practice and its contribution to sustainable development and common well-being throughout the region”, was signed by the president of the API, engineer José Domingo Pérez Muñiz; the secretary of the API, Benjamín Colucci Ríos; the president of the AIM, Alberto Lepe Zúñiga; and the secretary of the AIM, Guillermo Casar Marcos.
The collaborative pact was signed in Mexico City, as part of the celebration of the AIM congress, which took place at the beginning of July, under the slogan “Social commitment of engineering excellence for common welfare”.
The AIM event was attended by renowned members of the entity, such as the engineer Carlos Slim, as well as the former president of the API, Pablo Realpozo. Academics and former presidents of the Pan American Union of Engineering Associations (UPADI) were also present, including María T. Pino, Ari Herrera and Salvador Landeros, as well as the president of the API, José Domingo Pérez Muñiz.
